Excursion in the splendid Agordino still evidently battered by Vaia at the end of 2018. Once you reach the hamlet of Frassenè just above the village, the path starts (wide, mule track). It is better to follow the road in full since the path it cuts is full of fallen trees like Shanghai. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes of walking and 700 meters of altitude difference you reach the old arrival of the chair lift and on the top of the hill you can see the great Scarpa hut. The snow has always been a magical note to the whole setting and Mount Agner really seems even more imposing and a super giant stone.

In the distance, discharges of snow and rock can be heard right in the direction of the Agner. After a nice slice of homemade tart, the return was ring-shaped towards Malga Luna. The whole path was practically frozen because it was always in the shade in the woods. The return to Frassenè was enhanced by the unexpected interruption of the road which was completely collapsed and prepared with wooden ladders and false ropes in order to proceed. I will definitely return to these beautiful places, most likely to attempt the summit of the giant!
