Exactly 2h for the climb, fit even after more than a month of inactivity. 10 am arrival at the Dal Piaz refuge, after 5 months I am about to taste the famous focaccia… the taste buds are pawing! They make me present that there is no version for one person ... I get a super cutting board over a meter in size, over a show of bread with tomato, mozzerella, bacon, zucchini, onion, artichokes and a spicy paprika dressing. A dip in this truly exquisite delicacy made me forget the space, the time, the place: me and a divine delicacy.

Rifugio Dal Piaz
It is not the usual review or description of an excursion, but I have never really found a refuge where you can find sympathy, friendliness and quality at the highest level as at the Dal Piaz refuge. The return has always been cadenced by the thought of the focaccia. The crocus that emerged from the still brown grass and surrounded by some patches of snow are beautiful. In fact, above 2000 meters the paths were full of melting snow. On the way back, some sun also appeared and the consequent strong heat. Excursion different from the usual but still fantastic!
Hikers - Itineraries on paths or evident traces in various types of terrain (pastures, debris, stony ground ...). They are generally marked with paint or cairns (pyramid-shaped stacked stones that allow you to identify the route even from a distance). They can also take place in snowy but only slightly inclined environments. They require the equipment described in the part dedicated to hiking and sufficient orientation skills, walking training for a few hours.
