Even if the date of the excursion marks 22 April, the amount of snow, the wind at altitude and the difficulties encountered, suggest an exit in the middle of winter. Departure from Palafavera, winter and summer departure of the chairlift for Coldai. From here the path was a mixture of mud and snow, but at the end of the chairlift route, the presence of snow was total.

The path to reach the Coldai hut was completely covered with snow, in some places it was still sinking to the knee. I was one of the few who took this route and there was no sign. With quite a few difficulties (crampons would have been necessary in some places) I managed to reach the hut: completely covered with snow!

They can also take place in snowy but only slightly inclined environments. They require the equipment described in the part dedicated to hiking and sufficient orientation skills, walking training for a few hours.
