Mount Tudaio, the first destination in the Dolomites. In fact, this peak was the first of my hiking experience, reached at the age of 7! I chose this goal to start the constant recovery of mountain adventures. In addition, there is a novelty, for the first time I embarked on a solo excursion: a great emotion and a sense of freedom and tranquility that I will repeat in many subsequent releases.

Departure from Vigo di Cadore with parking in a small open space close to the path. The mule track that runs in zigzag along the splendid ridge of the Tudaio is very wide: during the First World War it allowed numerous cannons and mortars to be brought to the top. The slope is felt and the length of the route is not suitable for everyone, after about 2.45 hours you reach the summit. You can admire a splendid panorama that goes from the three peaks to the valley of Centro Cadore. At the top you can also see the old fort and the various fortifications used in the Great War.

Hikers - Itineraries on paths or evident traces in various types of terrain (pastures, debris, stony ground ...). They are generally marked with paint or cairns (pyramid-shaped stacked stones that allow you to identify the route even from a distance). They can also take place in snowy but only slightly inclined environments. They require the equipment described in the part dedicated to hiking and sufficient orientation skills, walking training for a few hours.
